IT takes something exceedingly special to stand out from the iPod docking crowd.
Delivering high-fidelity sound, it comes two years after the award-winning first model wowed gadget fans. The key here though is the size as that version was pretty chunky and took up a lot of space. That makes the Mini idea for the bedroom or kitchen.
The firm knows what it takes to produce beautiful sound, it has designed speakers for the likes of Abbey Road Studios, the spiritual home of the Beatles. They’ve also just produced an in-car system for the new Jaguar XJ motor and all of the same thinking on each of those projects has gone into the Zeppelin Mini. As well as the iPod or iPhone docking, a USB connection gives you the ability to stream music from a PC or Mac. It’d be nice if that was WiFi-led instead but you can’t have it all.
While one of the most expensive systems around at 299 pounds it does have a pedigree the rest can only dream of.
