Apple dock và Beatles: tuyệt vời!

IT takes something exceedingly special to stand out from the iPod docking crowd.

Zeppelin1_682_893969a And BOWERS & WILKINS certainly know how to make themselves seen. The original ZEPPELIN device was a beauty and this MINI is just as gorgeous.

Delivering high-fidelity sound, it comes two years after the award-winning first model wowed gadget fans. The key here though is the size as that version was pretty chunky and took up a lot of space. That makes the Mini idea for the bedroom or kitchen.

The firm knows what it takes to produce beautiful sound, it has designed speakers for the likes of Abbey Road Studios, the spiritual home of the Beatles. They’ve also just produced an in-car system for the new Jaguar XJ motor and all of the same thinking on each of those projects has gone into the Zeppelin Mini. As well as the iPod or iPhone docking, a USB connection gives you the ability to stream music from a PC or Mac. It’d be nice if that was WiFi-led instead but you can’t have it all.

While one of the most expensive systems around at 299 pounds it does have a pedigree the rest can only dream of.

The Beatles walked across a zebra crossing on the road in St John’s Wood, north London, at 11.35am on August 8 1969, for an image caught on the cover of their classic album Abbey Road. Fans gathering to commemorate the event will be led across the road by Beatles tribute band Sgt Pepper’s Only Dartboard Band, who will be wearing replicas of the clothes the Beatles wore four decades earlier. The tour will be led by Richard Porter, a professional Beatles tour guide and owner of the Beatles Coffee Shop at St John’s Wood Underground station. The tour starts at Marylebone station at 9.20am, and fans from all over London have been encouraged to come along and join in the celebrations. Mr Porter said: "There is no need to book, just turn up at the meeting point." Every day, fans from around the world walk over the Abbey Road zebra crossing to see the studios where the Beatles recorded most of their songs.
